17th February 2010  COBALZ today announced that it is sponsoring a series of Concerts by the Wrexham Symphony Orchestra (WSO) in aid of Alzheimer´s disease

The Concert Series begins with a performance of Mahler´s 1st Symphony at the William Aston Hall Wrexham on the 3rd July 2010 conducted by Russell Gray

COBALZ  plans to sponsor WSO performances of all Nine Mahler Symphonies over the next decade.  Proceeds from each concert will be in aid of Alzheimer´s disease

Neil McCaddon, Head of Licensing & Corporate Development for COBALZ, said: "COBALZ is extremely proud to be able to support this ambitious project.  This not only helps develop one of the most progressive amateur classical musical ensembles in North Wales, but also highlights the need for further basic research and social support for the burgeoning epidemic of dementia."

Future Concert details will be posted on the COBALZ and Wrexham Symphony Orchestra sites in due course
